AIFE offers two types of courses for home study:  SELF STUDY and VIRTUAL 

SELF STUDY
AIFE's self study courses are self-paced. Students can begin the course and complete assignments at their own convenience. The course is accessed and downloaded from the AIFE website and study can begin  when your personal schedule permits.  Quizzes and examinations are included and may be taken whenever you determine that you are ready to be tested. These programs may be ordered at any time.

VIRTUAL STUDY
Our virtual instructor-hosted courses are designed to provide information in a format using Blackboard®.  This technology allows the student to interact with the instructor, as well as network with fellow participants through online discussion boards,  forums, chat sessions and email. Coursework tasks may include required readings, mini-research projects, online quizzes, streaming videos, case studies and other instructional techniques used in a typical classroom.  Students must provide their own computers,  internet connection,  possess basic skills in word processing and email programs to facilitate course navigation.  Students who enroll in courses will progress through the content as a group with pre-determined schedules for course start and end dates. Internal course assignments will also be designed to ensure that all enrollees progress as a group through course material.

COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of AIFE course requirements and satisfactory performance on assignments and examinations, you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion, and, where applicable receive CA BRN Continuing Education Contact Hours.
