As an approved Continuing Education provider by the State of California, AIFE provides enriching and cutting edge forensic education for forensic professionals and other individuals who are not required to meet continuing education standards within their specialties. (SS) SELF STUDY
Self Study (SS) indicates a course is delivered online as a self-paced course, accessible on demand and completed at a rate determined by the student. Satisfactory performance on assignments, the final examination and mandatory course evaluations is required. Students are awarded a Certificate of Completion, and where applicable, receive continuing education credit.
(VC) VIRTUAL CLASSROOM
Virtual Classroom (VC) indicates a course is delivered online, but with instructor-hosted regularly scheduled virtual classroom activities utilizing Blackboard® technology. The student is expected to interact with an instructor, as well as network with fellow participants through online discussion boards, forums, chat sessions and email. Assignments have deadlines and may include required readings, research projects, quizzes, streaming videos, case studies and other instructional techniques utilized in a conventional classroom. Participants progress at a pre-determined schedule. Satisfactory performance is required on assignments, the final examination and mandatory course evaluations. Students are awarded a Certificate of Completion, and where applicable, receive continuing education credit.
(LE) LIVE EVENT
Live Event (LE) presentations include courses, workshops, seminars and webinars. This includes subsequent taped and/or live broadcasts of AIFE organized presentations with continuing education hours along with Certificate of Completion awarded where applicable.
