John Carpenter Otto, or "Jack" as he is known to his friends and associates, has a Baccalaureate degree in Political Science from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southwestern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California, and before all Federal Courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Jack, though now retired, practiced civil law in Los Angeles for nearly fifty years, where he and his firm, Grace, Neumeyer & Otto, specialized in the defense of foreign and domestic automobile and heavy industrial machinery manufacturers. Jack has tried over two hundred civil jury trials, and holds the rank of Diplomate Emeritus in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is an Emeritus member of the International Association of Defense Council.
During his career Jack has lectured in Japan on the subject of Products Liability in America, and has been a California State Bar approved instructor lecturing on a variety of civil trial related topics. In addition, he has lectured concerning courtroom appearance and testimony delivered as part of the curriculum required of nurses seeking California certification as Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
